Thoughts Astray
by
Teresa Marie Willis

Through fog of morn and glare of day
Away from toil thoughts went astray
To linger long amid the dew
In fields where once they lay

Through haze of dusk and clear of night
Away from slumber thoughts took flight
To wing their way among the mist
Of memories pale moonlight

Through shadows cast by moonlights glow
Away from world for none to know
Two lovers lost abide the stream
Of raptures raging flow

Through veiled and subtle dim starlight
Away from eyes obtrusive sight
To grassy glades away they stole
One warm rose scented night

Through smoke from distant burning leaves
Away from ways life can deceive
To dancing dreams aglow with hope
That neither one achieved

Through misty memories laced with tears
Away from dreams of ancient years
Ill linger long in thoughts astray
Till sunlight reappears

Not Alone
by
Teresa Marie Willis

Walk with me towards the close
I will not walk alone
The road that leads to unknown realms
I walk to seek repose

Talk with me of what life holds
I cannot talk alone
The voice of all tomorrows
Is hushed as life unfolds

Sleep with me it isnt right
That I should sleep alone
The silken bed that lies ahead
Will calm the restless night

Dream with me of golden years
I do not dream alone
The crystal stream of future dreams
That sooths the ancient fears

Share with me this life I live
For who can share alone?
Such beauty dwells in years to come
And life has much to give

Love with me, Oh love with me
I cannot love alone
As time flies by I will not cry
But hope for this to be
